Rockport Center for the Arts
About this event
Rockport Center for the Arts (RCA) hosts a wide variety of exhibits, special events, education workshops and classes for children and adults, performing arts, a public art program, literary arts, culinary arts and much more. The Center is a hub for the arts in the beautiful coastal Rockport-Fulton area, and its mission is to be the catalyst and epicenter for opportunities to explore the creative arts. RCA brings in over 50,000 visitors per year to Rockport. After 48 years, RCA re-established operations in the wake of devastation sustained to the original building from Hurricane Harvey. The organization acquired a 1-acre tract of land in the Rockport Cultural Arts District, raised $13 million through the Imagine Capital Campaign, and built state-of-the-art facilities designed by Richter Architects; construction started April 6, 2021, and concluded December 9, 2022, with the new facilities opening to the public in December 2022. The Center also offers a gift shop, artist calls, education programs for youth and adults, and membership opportunities. Visit the Center at 204 S Austin Street in Rockport. Admission is always free. Open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.; closed Monday.
