Faust

About this event

Houston Grand Opera presents Gounod's Faust in a dance-infused production by director David McVicar that reimagines Faust as a tormented composer in Belle Époque Paris who trades his soul to Mephistopheles for youth and pleasure. Soprano Pretty Yende makes her company debut as Marguerite, with tenor Matthew Polenzani as Faust and bass John Relyea as Mephistopheles; Giacomo Sagripanti conducts. The Sunday, November 15 matinee at 2 PM is the final performance; the production contains adult content.
