Chapelwood will celebrate Staff Appreciation Sunday to thank and celebrate the men and women who have answered God’s call to ministry in service at Chapelwood. All three Sanctuary worship services at 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., and 11:15 a.m. will feature a video in which members share their love and esteem for our staff. The Chapelwood community is blessed by a truly amazing staff of disciples. Seven days a week, our staff supports members and ministries that are truly changing lives in our community by planning, leading, and producing powerful weekly in-person and online worship on two campuses, caring for newborns in our nurseries, visiting members in homes and hospitals, maintaining facilities, teaching United Methodist beliefs and leading denominational movements, selecting literature for the library, teaching children through two preschools, pouring into our kids, youth, and adults through creative events, retreats, classes, and support groups for all ages, coordinating with Houston Food Bank, organizing sports leagues, operating a full kitchen, advocating for under-resourced communities, knowing us and calling us by name, and the list goes on. Our clergy and staff are part of the love, wisdom, time, counsel, leadership, humor, and heart that God uses to guide and gather us all every day.
