About this event

Become a certified Mental Health First Aider and help your friends, family, and community. Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based course that teaches you how to identify and understand mental health challenges. This free course is offered through a grant to Texas residents. The class runs from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, including short breaks and a 30-minute lunch break. To receive certification, complete the pre-work (a pre-test and opinions quiz), attend the instructor-led training, and finish the post-course work (a survey, final exam, and course evaluation). This course is for adults — you must be 18 years or older to attend. Registration is open to 25 participants, and a minimum of 7 participants is needed to hold the class. If you are unable to attend after enrolling, notify the organizers immediately so your spot can be opened up.
